Vatican launches £85 ‘click to pray’ rosary bracelet featuring ‘smart cross’ – The News

  In the hopes of appealing to tech-obsessed youngsters, the Vatican has launched a new ‘click to pray’ Rosary bracelet  The bracelet, called the eRosary, features 10 black agate and hematite rosary beads, alongside a silver ‘smart cross’   The website explains: “Bridging tradition to modernism by simple lines and curves – this is our design philosophy  “Black agate and hematite beads are combined with a neatly finished cross, symbolising the ever enduring human faith ”     where users can choose whether to pray the standard rosary, a contemplative rosary or a thematic rosary  The app also contains various prayers and songs, and can be used to keep track of progress  Aside from praying, the bracelet can also be used to track your health data. Read More Latest tech news  The website added: “In addition to daily prayer, the device also records and provides your health data, so you are encouraged to have a better lifestyle ”  The bracelet is on sale now, and costs £85.  This isn’t the first time that the Catholic Church has turned to technology   Last year, a game called JC Go that uses the same technology as Pokemon Go launched, in which players were tasked with catching Saints!
