Up To Speed Week in Review JB: Hi everyone, Jennifer and Jeremy here to get you up to speed on everything that happened around and inside Verizon this week. JG: We started the week of with the announcement of Verizon 2.0, and the new organization structure that Hans introduced that’ll become effective on January 1, 2019. Here’s how the units look: Verizon Consumer Group, will be led by Ronan Dunne Tami Erwin will lead the Verizon Business Group, Verizon Media Group/Oath, will be led by Guru And Kyle Malady will lead the Global Network and Technology team. Katie caught up with Hans to talk about what the V team should take away from the announcement. The message overall to all employees of course that we have business to attend to daily & that we need to continue to do, but it’s more important of course to understand all these new groups, we have the consumer group, the business group, the media group & of course understanding how you fold into that but more important how you fold into the overall sort of ambitions that we have as a company. We actually have high ambitions in everything we’re doing so I think that’s really where you need to come in as an employee. JB: There are lots of resources available on VZWeb for you to understand the direction and strategy of Verizon 2.0, including a letter from Hans, a replay of the V Team webcast, a summary of our Up To Speed live tweets from the Leadership Forum, and videos introducing the leadership teams of the Verizon Consumer and Business Groups. JG: And in our latest Up To Speed podcast, Global Network and Technology leader Kyle Malady sat down with Moon Javaid, VP of Strategy and Analytics for the San Francisco 49ers to talk about the importance of analytics and data to create better game day experiences – and of course, the role technology plays in enabling all of those. We then met every Wednesday with all of our stakeholders across the organization & walked them through their respective areas. So WiFi was an area that we walked though, concessions, retail, ticketing & entry, parking lots & we’d sit down with the stakeholder & say hey this is what the fans are saying. We might need to improve XYZ areas & I think that process has really helped us out. So we’ve made 200 changes over the course of the last 5 years based off of our fans feedback. JG: You can listen to the whole conversation at UpToSpeedPodcast.com, or your favorite podcast app. And make it a combo deal and listen to my podcast with Yahoo Sports General Manager Geoff Reiss where we also discussed sports and technology. JB: Can’t wait to check that out. Next, two deals to tell you about – In the market for a new Android or iPhone? For a limited time you can get up to $300 off with trade-in and smartphone purchase on Device Payment Plan. And, this week we’ve added even more value and features to our already awesome prepaid plans. We have new lower pricing on $40 and higher plans with Auto Pay discounts. Our Prepaid has something for everyone – find out more on the web. JG: That’s a great deal. And did you know that we have more than 11,000 veteran employees across our business? As we celebrate Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11, take a moment to thank them for their service by sharing an eCard with them from VZWeb. And stay tuned for Monday’s special edition of Up To Speed where we’ll showcase Verizon’s commitment to veterans. JB: We also got an inside look at the BUILD series this week with Sravya. That’s one of the cool brands within the Verizon Media Group/Oath. They pull in some big name stars. If you missed that, be sure to check it out. Now, to sing us out this week, here’s one of the guests from that day, Tyler Perry, and some friends. Now you’re up to speed!
