Phone Doctors Tech Tips – How to remove a stripped screw with a rubber band

Hey, I’m Taylor Coleman and this weeks tech
tip is a good one. Here’s an easy way to tackle the frustrating
problem of a stripped screw, with of all things, a rubber band. That’s right, a rubber band may aid in providing
enough grip to remove, or at least loosen, the screw. Okay, Here’s what you do.. Place a wide band rubber band in between the
screw driver and the screw, then apply hard, but slow force as you turn. The rubber band
should fill in the gaps caused by the strip and allow you to remove the screw.
It’s really that simple. This works on exterior and interior screws,
you just need to use the right size rubber band. We have found that for mobile devices
these are the best size rubber bands. Now, if at all possible be sure to replace
