At today’s event, Apple unveiled the second
member of the iPad Pro family. It has a 9.7-inch retina display and weighs less than one pound!
It has an oxide TFT display, custom timing controller and photo alignment tech that aligns
individual crystals for sharp display and text. The new smaller iPad Pro less reflective than
the iPad Air. It has the lowest reflectivity of any Apple tablets and the brightest display.
It also has a night shift feature, so that the display automatically dims later in the
day. Then with the True Tone, the iPad Pro measures
the color temperature of ambient light and adjusts the display to match. So, what this
means is, if the color in the room is cooler or warmer, the display will automatically
adjust, giving you a more accurate color rendition. The iPad Pro has a 12MP iSight camera, focus
pixels, true tone flash, new image signal processor and the capability to shoot 4K video.
It also supports ‘Hey Siri’ and is compatible with new Apple pencil. The iPad pro comes in four colors: silver,
gold, space gray and rose gold. It’s available at two price points: $599 for the 32gb model
and $749 for 128gb. You can order one starting March 24 and shipping begins March 31.
