Introducing HomePod by Apple

Apple’s long-rumored Amazon Echo competitor
is real and it’s called the HomePod. The Apple Speaker is focused on music first,
not Siri, but it does that too. The device is a pill-shaped circular speaker. It has a 7 beam-forming tweeter array, a custom-made
woofer, and an Apple A8 chip. It also has multi-channel echo cancellation,
real-time acoustic modeling. The HomePod can scan the space around it to
optimize audio accordingly. You can talk to the speaker to play anything
in your Apple Music library. You can say “play more songs like that,”
or “I like this song.” You can also ask other Siri queries, such
as news headlines, the weather, sports scores and more. And if you have HomeKit-enabled devices, you
can control your lights, garage door, air conditioning and more using this speaker. Interestingly, Apple also announced AirPlay
2 earlier today, which lets you pair multiple speakers and play music in multiple rooms. Apple’s new HomePod costs $349 and comes
in white and space grey. It’s shipping now in the U.S., the U.K.
and Australia. Other countries will get their HomePods next
year.

  1. how to compete with other competitors who already made a similar device before you by about a year or two?

you charge 3 times the amount your competitors charges or more, because your Apple.

  2. This is a smart wifi speaker primarily so it's NOT a good competitor to the echo and Google home which are assistants that have good speakers to play music as well. will definitely be a better speaker but $350 and it won't be as capable at answering questions as the other two

  3. Wtf people are so f*cking stupid… this is awesome. THE AMAZON ECO HAS A SHIT SPEAKER!! I know his because my mum has one!! AND IM GUESSING THAT THE GOOGLE HOME HAS A CRAP SPEAKER TOO!
This is way better than the things right now. I'm not sure that the Siri will be as good but who knows?? ITS NOT OUT YET!
