I will show you some tech news from India. First new is from Bharti airtel, they with
Apple, releases a joint statement to launch “India’s first 4G on mobile” services in Bangalore.
According to that, iPhone 5s and 5c customers will be able to get 4G services on their mobile.
Data browsing will be on 4G speed and voice calls will be routed to 2G/ 3G networks with
the CSFB technology. 3G subscribers will get 4G mobile Internet speeds at the same rate
as their current 3G tariffs. To access this service they have to replace there existing
3G or 2 G SIM. Airtel also announced the 10 GB 4G plan at 1000 rupees for heavy user.
Other phones that supports TD-LTE 2300MHz band, like Ascend P1 LTE, will also be able
to enjoy this 4G services. Unfortunately, Nexus 5 user and international Note 3 N9005
user not get such services on their phone. Many other phone 4G phone in Indian market
do not have TD-LTE band, hence the service is being ‘exclusive’ to Apple’s phones. Next news is from Samsung, Samsung will plan
to launched Galaxy Grand Neo and Galaxy Mega Plus. Both of these dual SIM phone are upgrade
to successor galaxy Grand and galaxy Mega. Grand Neo will be seen in Indian market next
week at price tag of 19 thousands rupees. Phone specification is already out, Grand Neo features
5.1-inch WVGA screen, 1.2 Ghz quad core processor 1 GB RAM, with 16GB in-built storage,
which can expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. Galaxy Grand Neo is powered by a 2100mAh
battery. Whereas Mega pro, there is no information
on pricing and launch date. This phone comes with a 5.8-inch qHD screen. Unlike, the Galaxy
Mega 5.8 which was powered by a dual-core processor, the Galaxy Mega Plus comes with
1.2 GHzs quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The phone comes with 8GB of built-in
storage, which is expandable via microSD card to 64 GB and has a 2600mAh battery. Let’s
see the actual design and specification of the phone in coming few days. Next news is from Moto G, Motorola has started
rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its Moto G in India. The Android 4.4.2
update weighs 230.7 MB This includes new phone dialler app, restyled status and navigation
bars; new colour emoji support; new full-screen mode; improved ‘touch to focus’ and new photo
editing features in the default Gallery app; support for printing photos from Google Docs,
Gmail, and other content on phone via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google
Cloud Print and HP ePrinters. Moving to next news, Micromax has launched
latest Canvas series smartphone, the Canvas Power. Micromax Canvas Power run by a huge
4000mAh battery, officialy it will delivers up to 5.5 hours of talktime and up to 450
hours of standby time. This is now available for the Indian market at 9,900 rupees from
micromax site, and the listing notes that the smartphone will be delivered in 7 to 10
business days. Canvas power is a dual SIM phone, with a 5-inch FWVGA display. The Canvas
Power is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt
storage, which can expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
Earlier this month Micromax’s anounches Canvas Elanza for Rs. 9,400.which is powered by a
1.3GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM. 5-inch qHD display.
Next news is from Nokia, Nokia X A110 with Android 4.4, Snapdragon 200 is listed on Vietnamese
online retailer site at price of 6800 rupees. The rumoured specifications include a 4-inch
FWVGA TFT display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels; a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor;
5-megapixel rear camera; microSD card support and Android 4.4 KitKat. This phone is said
to be targeted at the low-cost segment as an Asha-equivalent smartphone.
Next news is from Rovio Entertainment. They finally revealed Angry Birds Stella. Rovio
has not mentioned the exact date of the game’s arrival. Rovio has given some background on
the story of the game. Six new characters have been introduced in Angry Birds Stella,
The game’s story include enemies to fight.The website claims that the game would be full
of “fun and adventure” along with some other side issues going on in the story. There are
no particular dates mentioned for Angry Birds Stella release. However, the official website
states the game will arrive “in the fall of this year.”
Last news is on Samsung Galaxy S5. As the launch date is confirmed. it would be launched
in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 24 February. The latest is a leaked image
that’s allegedly the back of the retain packaging for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The image shows
the alleged specs of the upcoming phone, including the much-anticipated 5.25in QHD screen If
accurate, at least one variant of the Galaxy S5 will have a pixel dense display with 2560
x 1440 resolution. Spread out over a 5.2-inch screen, that works out to 560 pixels per inch.
The image also shows 3 GB of memory, support for up to 150 Mbps LTE networks and a 2.5
GHz quad-core processor — very likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 since Samsung typically
uses its own chips in non-LTE devices. The Galaxy S5 box picture also says to expect
a 20 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and 2 megapixel front sensor.
