Coldblack Technology | Harley-Davidson

You might be wondering what is Coldblack Technology? Coldblack technology is a patent-pending finish by a company
called Schoeller Technologies. It’s applied to the fabrics. It keeps the riders cool when it’s hot. I’m wearing it now. Now as you know , light
colored fabrics naturally reflect sunlight while dark fabrics absorb 90%
of both heat and light. Dark fabrics with Coldblack Technology reduce this
absorption and reflect up to 80 percent of the sun’s rays resulting in up to 9
degrees cooler body temperature. Coldblack provides up to UPF 30
protection blocking around 96% of the sun’s UV rays. Coldblack Technology
treated fabrics will make their wearers perspire less hence you may get a second
day out of that shirt on that hot ride to the rally. Coldblack is wash
resistant and does not wear off during washing or through long time wear. This
can also become your favorite shirt and will last a good long time. Look for the
Coldblack Technology label sewn into the side seam.
